A middle age guy from Northern Maine, Started taking photos back in the 70's with a twin lens reflex and moved to my first 35 mm (Minolta- that I hated) did like the Canon's after that although I wish I could have stayed with larger size.... I put my camera down for the most part while I spent most of my time working in hospitality management. I was forced to retire due to illness in 1991 and have been concentrating on staying alive since then. Then one day 4 years ago I picked up a digital camera and fell in love again.
Live a quite life on a great little piece of land that has wildlife all around, in the summer moose and deer are regular visitors.
Love animals, nature, travel, friends and family and collecting- rocks , minerals, antiques,-lately it seems to be camera equipment.
I use Canon, I have a 50D and a 40D, I have a variety of lens, generally I use a Canon 55-250mm (hope to get my Tamron 28-300 repaired soon) as it offers wider rang. I like the Canon 100-400 IS 4.56-5.6 although it is a bit heavy for these unsteady hands, but I am getting better at it, I use a 2x extender on that alot for wildlife.
Some of my photos can be seen on Smugmug:
